All About Youth Tank
Youth Tank is an opportunity for youth in our community to share their new or ongoing business idea and obtain funding for further development.
uPlan is providing the space and exposure for participants to present their proposals to a group of local business experts!
Youth aged 14-24 with an invention, small business idea, or a creative project are encouraged to enter.
The Youth Tank will give you a platform to share your million-dollar idea. Community members can join and watch as you and other youth present their ideas, enjoy the concession, and view other youth projects in the community. At the event, you can win up to $5,000 to develop your business and be noticed by other local business owners, mentors, and entrepreneurs.
We are looking for youth who either have the dedication needed to build a business or have a pre-existing small business and desire additional funding to expand it further.
Participant Criteria

Business Owners must be aged 14-24

Participants must be a resident of Maple Ridge or Pitt Meadows.

Business ideas must positively contribute to the community and align with The City of Maple Ridge and its policies.
Business Criteria
We are searching for young entrepreneurs looking to contribute positively to their communities. Although not mandatory, potential business ideas may fit into one of the following categories:

Education
-
Health and wellness
-
Innovation and media
-
Community engagement
Your proposal may not fall perfectly into one of these categories, however they are only a guideline. The focus should be creativity and giving back to our community. If you are unsure where you fit in, please still apply!
After Submitting
If you're selected, we'll contact you to schedule a Zoom or in-person interview. You'll then be contacted to finalize details for the live event.
